Convert JPG and PNG images into a PowerPoint deck.

Choose clear images before converting

PNG: a useful starting point for screenshots with small text, sharp borders, and diagrams. Keep the original resolution when exporting a slide or capturing a screenshot.

JPG: supported for slide exports and photographs. Use the original file when available. Repeated compression can blur letters; saving an already blurry JPG as PNG will not recover the lost detail.

Crop away browser controls and surrounding pages, leaving one complete slide per image. Avoid cutting off labels at the edges. A front-facing export is usually easier to recognize than a photo taken at an angle.

How to convert JPG or PNG to PowerPoint

1. Add your images. Choose files or drag them into the editor. Each image becomes a separate page.
2. Arrange the deck. Drag page thumbnails into the intended order. Check that no slide is missing or duplicated.
3. Recognize and review. Recognize the current page or run recognition for unprocessed pages. Check spelling, small labels, and numbers; adjust the text layout as needed.
4. Export one PPTX. Every page must have recognized or manually added text. Your whole deck counts as one export, regardless of the number of slides.

Supported formats and image limits

• Image inputs: PNG, JPG/JPEG, and WebP.
• Up to 30 pages per project.
• Each image must be within both limits: 25 MB and 20 megapixels.
• PowerPoint output: .pptx, with recognized text as editable text boxes.

Will the entire image become editable?

Recognized text becomes editable. The remaining background stays an image; charts and diagrams are not automatically converted to native shapes. You can manually extract an image region to move it separately. See what becomes editable in PowerPoint for examples of what to check.

Can I import PDF pages?

Export the PDF pages as PNG or JPG first, then import those images. SlideLocal does not directly import PDF or existing PPTX files.

Is conversion private?

Your images, recognized text, and PPTX generation stay in your browser. The first recognition downloads processing assets. Sign-in and export allowance checks require a network connection, but do not upload slide content. See the privacy notice.
